In this sermon, we look at possibly the darkest Psalm in the Bible, Psalm 88. In this passage, the Psalmist expresses pain and suffering without much hope and without any reponse from God. It begs the questions: why is it in Scripture, what does it have to say to us, and what do we do when we find ourselves surrounded by darkness and can't seem to find God? Rather than jumping to optimism or walking away from God, this Psalm invites us to experience the darkness and express it to God.
