In this message, we consider Psalm 97, the final in the series of psalms for a Sabbath service of song, which may well have been put together by good King Hezekiah. It celebrates Jehovah’s assumption of sovereignty, as He becomes King and subjects and enlightens the whole world. All governments melt before Him and the rulers praise Him. Those who worship idols are ashamed, but His people of Zion rejoice. All who love Jehovah have great cause to rejoice!
