* vs 4 - “God makes the winds His messengers….”

* This was the reading for the first day that Hurricane Irma touched land in America.

* God is speaking through this Hurricane.

* vs 5-9 all speak about the waters of the flood being put back within their boundaries.

* The most dangerous thing about a hurricane is not just the wind but the storm surge.

* This is when the ocean waters rise to a level where they breach their boundaries and flow into the streets, houses, and buildings.

* When this happens everything is destroyed. Why?

* Because the waters transgressed their boundaries.

* Boundaries bring blessing - the ocean is of incredible value to everyone (in Florida the entire economy is based on people enjoying the ocean).

* But if the boundaries are breached those blessings turn into burdens.

* Today we are breaching God’s boundaries in every way.

* And Hurricane Irma as well has Hurricane Harvey in Houston give us physical manifestations of this spiritual truth.

* We’re in big trouble if that water doesn’t get back to where it belongs.
