* David was kind and loving to the people, but in return they became his accusers.

* Notice David’s response:

* In return to becoming his accusers he gave himself to prayer!

* We wouldn’t do this. We would say something like, “In return for my love they have become my accusers…”

* “so I defend myself with dignity!”

* “I totally ignore them!”

* “I block them on social media!”

* The proper response is prayer.

* Matthew 5:44 - “pray for those who persecute you.”

* Why?

* Because where your treasure is there your heart will be also.

* Praying to God draws you to Him, and praying for others draws you to them.

* A dad wants nothing more than for his kids to be loved.

* It warms the heart of God when we pray for people, especially those who’ve done us wrong.
