* These verses give us a great picture of how a person can lead their soul.

* Vs 1-5 - things were really bad for David, so he took his plea to the Lord.

* Vs 6 - notice the change - “…He helped and saved me.”

* He brought to mind how God had helped him (either in the past or the present).

* Vs 7 - this allowed him to calm down and rest.

* We can lead our souls by yielding to our spirits (that have been born again).

* When things get bad we can remind ourselves of how good God is and how strong He is, either through our own testimony or the testimony of others.

* When we call these things we can lead our souls to rest!
