* David is in a cave being hunted by the strongest man in the kingdom.

* Did he fight back? No. He gave the problem to God.

* How was he able to restrain himself?

* Because he was operating by the Spirit.

* As he was in there, we get a glimpse into his prayer journal.

* David’s mindset was to give his problems to the Lord.

* He didn’t run to another person, or to strategy - he poured his heart out to the Lord.

* Doing this kept David in the right mindset so that he would not take matters into his own hands.

* If we apply this in our lives our relationships will blossom.

* Pour your heart out to the Lord first, recognizing Him as the source of your security.

* THEN….and only then….pour your heart out to your spouse.

* This will relieve the pressure from them to have to meet your every need.

* And it will also build trust because they know you are accountable to God.
