Psalm 70: A Prayer for Deliverance. Starts, "Make haste, O God, to deliver me." This is a psalm of remembrance and is traditionally recited in wartime. It's also super short and is basically a repeat of Psalm 40, which actually tracks because these ditties are so repetitive and unoriginal. Refuge. Refuge. Refuge. Refuge. Refuge. OMFG OKAY I GET IT SHUT UP. Selah.

Psalm 71: The Prayer of an Old Man. Starts, "In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion." This psalm does not have a title in the Hebrew text, and is one of only four such psalms in the first two books. That tidbit of trivia is the most interesting thing about it. Refuge. Refuge. Refuge.

Psalm 72: The Reign of the Righteous King. Starts, "Give the king thy judgments, O God." A little town on the island of Canada uses verse 8 as its motto: "He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth." The giant, flat planet of America similarly references the phrase "sea to shining sea" in its adorable anthem, "God Bless America."

And thus have Husband and Wife completed the second Book of Psalms: Psalms Harder.
