Today, we will explore an essential research method in psychology called the Ex Post Facto method. Also known as the "after the fact" or "retrospective" method, this approach is employed when manipulating variables is impractical, unethical, or impossible. Instead of controlling variables, researchers observe and analyze the effects of variables that have already occurred. This method examines pre-existing conditions or events to investigate cause-and-effect relationships when random assignment is not feasible.
