Today I am joined with Angeliki a Psychology student at Mcgill University. She came to me wanting to share her story about having had an eating disorder and how that has impacted her life to wanting to help others. Her focus has been to rediscover a new way of eating and have a healthy relationship with exercise. She has also focused on healthy habits that she can implement in her life and help others who were in a similar situation to her.
After going through her eating disorder this gave her the passion and desire to help others and study to psychology. She wants to eventually become a clinical therapist to be able to help other women.
We also focused on the importance that social media plays in our lives on a subconscious level. Often, we are left comparing ourselves to those on instagram who may be editing their pictures or filtering them in a way that is unrealistic. This leaves us questioning if we are good enough and how we value ourselves.
