In relationships you are always going to have fights. It's normal and necessary. But one thing to be conscious of is to avoid the downward spiral of relationship triggers. What this means is when one partner gets triggered, he or she takes it out on their partner. And that partner triggers the other partner back. It just goes back and forth and builds layer upon layer on the real issue at hand. It is important to look at where this trigger is coming from. But it's hard to see that when both partners are just in a downward spiral of triggering each other.
