Derek Rich) emphasize how our understanding of God's Will, specifically as it relates to suffering, must be consistent with His desires that are expressed as possible, even if they do not seem probable due to a fallen world and human tendencies. Even Jesus, who was cognizant of the Scripture's prediction that He would be despised and rejected, wept over His people's(Israel) rejection of Him because it was contrary to God's Will.  A couple of such divinely desired possibilities are that all be Saved and come to Repentance, and that His people(Believers) live godly, honest lives in peace and tranquility.
