In the mid-1980s, Brian De Palma gave us his best Hitchcock homage by turning an eye on the seedy, sleazy underbelly of Hollywood in Reagan-era Los Angeles. By blurring the lines between the adult film business and the mainstream film industry, De Palma gave us one of his most scathing critiques while entertaining the - ahem - pants off us.
