Gwyneth M. Eliasson is an Assistant Professor of Health Systems and Policy in the Department of Health Behavior, Society, and Policy at the Rutgers School of Public Health (RSPH). Before joining the RSPH faculty, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the School of Public Health - SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. She received her JD from Brooklyn Law School and her MPH in Health Systems and Policy from RSPH. As a social justice attorney, she advocated for low-income New Yorkers facing systemic health inequities at administrative proceedings and in Federal courts. As a public health practitioner, she managed CDC-contracted projects with the Center for Public Health Law Research at Temple University Beasley School of Law and consulted for Rutgers School of Law on grant-funded projects to develop a medical-legal partnership (MLP) program in Camden, New Jersey. Her case study on MLPs for older adults is in HEALTHY AGING THROUGH THE SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF HEALTH (APHA Press, 2021).
