The recent derailment and toxic chemical spill in East Palestine, Ohio has raised many issues of how the railroads should be run.  Should there be more regulation of the railroads, should there be less regulation. All kinds of ideas are in the air, but from the perspective of Prout, the Progressive Utilization Theory, these industries should be owed and management by the public and in the public interest.
