Synopsis
Leon Furze lays out his practical workflow for POSSE—Publish (on your) Own Site, Syndicate Elsewhere—so your website remains the hub and platforms are just spokes. He explains how he posts first on WordPress, lets Jetpack push to Bluesky (and occasionally LinkedIn), uses the ActivityPub plugin to make his site part of the fediverse (with comments flowing back to the blog), and then syndicates to Substack and Medium via RSS and import. He also shows how RSS underpins his AI Reads feed and how each article becomes a short “blogcast” episode syndicated to podcast platforms. The goal: own your content, meet readers where they are, and avoid lock-in.
He finishes with a start-to-finish checklist that any writer can copy, and a nudge to prioritise newsletters over algorithmic feeds—building direct, durable connections with your audience.
