Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs rose to fame as the flashy mastermind behind Bad Boy Records, driving East Coast hip-hop into the mainstream with artists like The Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans. He was a central figure during the East Coast–West Coast rivalry of the '90s, a tension-filled era that ended in tragedy and forever changed hip-hop.
