The writing style of Q and how it changed over the years

Q was the first antagonist introduced to us in 1987 when Star Trek: The Next Generation was launched. He was omnipotent, dangerous, and enigmatic. However, Encounter at Farpoint was not the last time we saw him. As the show progressed and new shows were developed, Q appeared a total of 12 times in the franchise.
