Boasting clear, blue, warm waters, vistas of beaches and palm trees, and smooth pancake-flat roads, Cozumel’s Ironman and 70.3 races sure sound dreamy. But I, along with Sam and Krista Gager, President and First Lady of Golden Gate Triathlon Club, can testify that no amount of beautiful scenery can make an Ironman easy. The three of us recently closed out 2014 with Ironman Cozumel, and in this episode, we share our race reports, lessons learned, and tips for conquering Cozumel and destination races in general.

There's a new race in town! Indoor Triathlon USA is bringing a high-quality race experience to nine cities across the country in a format that is perfect for beginners and serious competitors alike. The series kicks off in February in Portland, Oregon and culminates with a national championship event in April in Las Vegas, visiting Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Coeur D’Alene, Denver, Austin, and Chicago along the way. The format consists of a 10-minute swim, a 30-minute bike ride (on your own bike, specially calibrated), and a 15-minute run.
