During this session I would like to talk about how I counsel my patients about abstinence education.

I often give my teenage patients a copy of the book Apples of God: A Parable of Purity after they have discussed this topic with me. Two other books, Girls Uncovered: New Research on What America’s Sexual Culture does to Young Women and also Hooked: New Science on How Casual Sex is Affecting Our Children have had a huge impact on how I counsel my patients about premature sexual intimacy.

I will share how I counseled my own sons about sexuality.
