The goal of the fire in a refining process is for the purpose of purification of the vessel. Scripture made us see that God sets himself as a refiner and purifier, which means God desires that his vessels are thoroughly worked on for HIS use to inf glory to his name. Though vessels may come full of impurities and infirmities, he has the process he takes them through to be worked on till HE sees his reflection experientially in them.
