Most Christians are unaware that their understanding of Christian Theology is more influenced by Augustine than Jesus, or any other person in history. Augustine's influence cannot be overstated and one area is he created an overtly negative perception of sexuality, the body, and women that is still highly effective today. And here's the kicker: Augustine wasn't remotely biblically literate enough to do this.
