The purple banners marched long ago. They march again today.

 This one is out of chronological order, but unfortunately I felt I had to finish this one first given the events of the world around me. What you think the purple banners are will vary, but the upcoming days will be a test for all of us. But my purple banners have been marching for quite a while. They're the reason I've been stressed enough to write any of this is in the first place.

 Just, for all of our sakes, if you think you can identify the purple banner, don't lift it up, even when it asks you to, croons to you about the power you might get. Thanks.
