Purple Hearts Reunited started in 2012 by Major Zach Fike, Vermont Army National Guard. Fike started with reuniting one antique shop Purple Heart with the family of a WWII soldier. This 501c3 charity is now responsible for reuniting approximately 500 medals with families. It receives on average 2 lost medals a day in the mail. Fike discusses the work and the stories of reuniting lost family history with host Jim Fausone.
