Kieran and Lauren sit in Kieran's cave, gazing at the romantic water and discussing their latest discovery about Rafael and Redcliffe.  Kieran's theory about the poison aligns with our resident medical expert Lily's.  

While reaching to give Lauren a hug (!), Kieran rips his stitches, and unself-consciously proceeds to, er, rip his shirt off, giving us all a great view.  

Lauren, unlike us thirsty fans, focuses on his scars, and feels comfortable enough to ask him about them.  Kieran hesitates, but shockingly, tells her that when he was mistakenly kidnapped into the Phantom Scythe, he was not very obedient. We speculate on the kidnapping's timing and intended target.  

Kieran is bitter about his choice to stay and bring the Phantom Scythe down from within, but Lauren moves closer to affirm his choice, and also to, in what we speculate has a double meaning, "help him."
