DJ David KnappFor any party, there are certain ingredients that are essential to making the mix successful.  The right guests, the right atmosphere, the right entertainment – all of these can make or break a soiree.

When it comes to a gay party in particular, the single most important and compelling factor that ties everything together is the DJ.  So when one thinks of superstar DJ’s who never fail to keep the boys coming back to the dance floor time and time again, David Knapp consistently comes to mind.

Knapp has been in the upper echelon of the DJ community for more than 20 years.  He helped to pioneer the character and energy of the South Beach, Miami club scene in its foundational years.  Knapp has also presided in the booths of such legendary nightspots and events as Amnesia Tea Dances in South Florida, Limelight in New York City, Disney’s Gay Days, Provincetown’s Fourth of July parties, and many, many more.
