You’ve got rules at home.  You enforce them.  And when one of the children crosses the line, they pay the consequences.  Right?

It’s true for everyone.  If you’re in a family, you deal with discipline issues.  But I want to take just a moment to remind you of what’s behind those rules and consequences.  The root of discipline is this:  Mom and Dad, you’re helping your child get to a place he wants to be… and keeping him away from a place he doesn’t want to end up.

Next time you find yourself buried in the nitty- gritty daily details of enforcing rules at home, remember this:  there’s purpose behind your actions.  And discipline, combined with relationship, lead to a really good place.
