The goodness of God is something that I am constantly reminded of in my life. Whether it's the beauty of nature that surrounds me, the kindness of strangers, or the love of my family and friends, I see evidence of God's goodness everywhere I look. Even amid challenging times, I am comforted by the knowledge that God is always with me and has a plan for my life. His goodness is beyond measure, and I am grateful for how He blesses me each day.
Did you know God reassured Moses and showed him "all His goodness?" This story is found in Exodus 33. If anyone needed reassurance, it was Moses. So, too, for us today. Amid all you have going on, ask God to show you "all His goodness."

There is a precious book full of golden nuggets. I return to the book to read and listen to the audio version--Gentle and Lowly by Ortlund. Ortlund discussed the verses in Exodus when Moses wanted reassurance of God's glory and acceptance (Exodus 33). Most notably, God placed Moses in the cleft of the rock and covered him with His hand. And, then,
"I will cause all My goodness to pass before you," the LORD replied, "and I will proclaim My name—the LORD—in your presence." Exodus 33: 19
To reassure God showed "all His goodness." Of all the things God could have shown him or allowed him to experience, He wanted Moses to be overwhelmed by God's goodness. Alone with God, in quiet solitude, God had his complete attention.
When I'm quiet enough, I sometimes spend too much time thinking about all the things that need healing or restoration. I pondered how beautiful it would be to just rest your mind and be open to the covering of God in the quiet. To experience all of His goodness.
In my prayer time and worship, God reminded me of a song. It was a twist and turn of selecting songs and singing. I was overwhelmed by His goodness as I remembered my husband singing this song on mission trips and outreach opportunities. In my prayers, I saw a vision and spoke to the Lord about the why and the what of the message. I hesitated to call my friend. It had to do with her child. It was the goodness of God displayed. She responded by saying that God had given her the same vision many years ago and that He was confirming the goodness again.
His goodness. Expressed in our prayers, worship, and daily activities, and confirmed over and over again.
I pray His goodness will cover you today. I pray that you experience His hand covering you and placing you in a quiet space to heal and listen.
