It was early on Wednesday! No pun intended the date is  July 8, 1806 and A neighbor, was awoken by James Jr. The teen had a wound on is back; He was incoherent and basically told the neighbors that he was awaken by his mother screaming. He left his room to investigate and encountered a man in the hallway with an AXE. The man struck him with the axe and at this point one of the younger boys had tried to make his escape. This distracted the attacker and James Jr was able to escape and make it to safety at the neighbors house. Thus begins the tell of the Purrington Murders.
