As Paul looks to defend his message and ministry, he simply looks to tell his own story. His gospel wasn't derived from any man, but came directly from God Himself. As he points to his past, he reminds them of his previous commitment to persecution, his conversion to Christ, and the radical transformation that took place with minimal contact with any of the apostles or churches in Judea.
