Oneness in a marriage consists of intimate knowing, acts of connectedness, and feelings of affection and love. However, as a result of sin, there are barriers that keep us from experiencing servanthood with each other. If we can slow the pace of our lives, abandon inappropriate preoccupations, replace power struggles with trust, and regain a spirit of respect, our marriages will begin to resemble the oneness God intends for them to have.
