Pushing Mongo Episode 50

It's the big 5-0 and everyone's invited! This week, Nick and Stu toast a humble but ever growing audience, and each other, for hitting this small milestone. The NBA Finals come to an end, with the Boston Celtics crowned world champions for a historic 18th time. Oilers Girl Kate breathes new life into a resurging NHL Stanley Cup Finals series, with Edmonton clawing back from the brink of elimination. It's an effort so legendary that Canadians everywhere are unable to keep their clothes on! The sports chatter is brought to a halt with the breaking news of the passing of all-time baseball great, MLB and Negro League legend Willie Mays. The show takes the moment to toast and celebrate one of the most complete players the game has ever seen. Rick Ross thought he was in the clear of baby mama drama but Tia Kemp puts the rapper/record executive on full blast, for the world to see. Father's Day has come and gone and with any holiday comes politicians staging photos to appear relatable to voters. This time around, longtime New York Senator Chuck Schumer has been caught red handed-- red like the raw meat he was seen slapping cheese slices onto, on an unlit grill. While on the subject of out-of-touch elites, Nick gets educated on the deeply racist Veiled Prophet society of St. Louis, Missouri and the former annual Fair that was, until 2021, thrown under their name. It's almost like systematic racism and financial inequality are cornerstones to our very society! You can listen in to these things and much more on this monumental 50th edition of Pushing Mongo! Jah bless!
