On A Plane They say to put your mask on first then if someone needs help to help them. Regardless if it's your children, parents, whomever, you must put your mask on first. Ensure you safety and oxygen so that you can still have full function to help others. Rather than fighting the loss of oxygen and not being able to do much of anything because your brain is trying to figure out what is going on because there's not enough. We have a selfish tendency to instinctively be the hero. To sacrifice everything and be left with nothing besides people's approval. We prioritize others and what they have going on rather than ourselves. We selfishly give to others because we feel that's what we should do and we are left with nothing because we didn't take care of ourselves first. We must learn to help others after FIRST helping ourselves. You are your first patient, you are your first job, you are your first client, you are your first priority. We can't give what we don't have. Remember that. Can't cash a check you can't find. Take Care of YOU, it will be better for you and everyone connected to you in the end.
