For the second time in as many weeks, Putin is using the "N" word recklessly. We already know he possesses a more modern arsenal of nuclear weapons and more warheads, so why is he reminding everyone?
The unspoken truth is that it is meant as a deterrent, which is effective against NATO. He has the advantage and is continuing to press it with this ongoing rhetoric.
Should we believe him?
My view is that we need to take him at his word, or we'll risk being vaporized, but that doesn't mean we can't create a strategic dilemma for him.
