Everyone was caught off guard the moment this pandemic started looming over us. One after another, most businesses, even the biggest of them went down closing. Everyone was in quandary, and who wouldn't be?
But even amidst these saddening facts, stories of businesses still surviving, inspite of it all, are so inspiring and worth emulating for. How did they make it possible?
Having a client-focused perspective ups your game. When you are clear with what you are serving for, you find alternative ways to reach them. It maybe on a different platform but with the same amount of value, if not more of it.
Brent Lohmer has lost track of how many times he’s watched Iron Man 1 after 20… that should tell you enough of what you need to know about him.
As a teen he got himself into a bit of trouble and lost a ton of weight….he needed to gain some muscle back. Well, he put on that muscle… but he went the other way… He was big and strong… but squishy and fat.
So, in the healthiest way possible he got lean.
Not by eating chicken and broccoli from a Tupperware container, but by eating good food that he enjoyed with his family, By still enjoying cake and cookies, by having pizza on random nights, and by still having a life at the same time.
This is what he loves to do!
Help nerds like you gain muscle and lose fat without neglecting your responsibilities as a human being.
In this episode, Brent shares how at one point he made a mistake of gravitating towards his own idea of looking a certain way. It turned out to be disastrous for him. That negative experience is now the foundation on which he founded his career in the fitness industry.
Even with everyone scared to navigate the rough waters at this time, he continued to step up, refused to be tied down with negativity, and stays afloat. His dedication to his clients is a testament to how his business is doing well at these crazy times. Just zero in on the best way you can serve your people, everything's possible.
"If you're doing your due diligence on figuring out who you're working with and really figuring out their pain points, and what they like and what they don't like. And then you get those guys in a community, I think that's going to be like, just such a deadly one-two-punch for your business." - Brent Lohmer
