One of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving. It is a time to reflect on all God’s blessings, especially His provisions. But I also enjoy Thanksgiving for football, and of course, good food! The average person consumes over three thousand calories on Thanksgiving.

We celebrate Thanksgiving at my mother-in-law’s house, and I look forward to the turkey, greens, hot buttered biscuits, sausage stuffing, barbecue ribs, etc., but I also look forward to topping it all off with my daughter’s sweet potato pie. At the end of the day, I’m as stuffed as a turkey, with no room for anything else.

Your words became a delight to me and the joy of my heart” (Jer. 15:16), and God’s love that has been poured out in our hearts (Rom. 5:5), there is no room for fear, because “perfect love drives out fear” (1 John 4:18).
