The world is seemingly getting smaller, and long gone are the days when we stay in the same area for most of our lives. But as the boundaries between “villages” break down, does this mean that the concept of the parish community is becoming irrelevant? Can we “shop around” for parishes in different areas? Is there really a need to participate in a parish community if we can easily move between parishes? If so, how do we participate in and build community? Aren’t we all part of the one Church anyway?
