A lot of media coverage has been detailing the unrest in Ukraine (and rightfully so). Blatant lies and misrepresentation of actions on behalf of Russia are dangerous for future propaganda engines. However, the popular outpouring of support globally is vastly different now than with many other incidents of human suffering. I have seen posts offering jobs and asylum for Ukrainian refugees in ways that I have never seen for refugees of color. What gives?”
