Q&A with Dr. Avery & Cara Jackson on Nicotine, Methylene Blue, CBD, Red light therapy and more!

Listen Later

Dr. Avery and Cara Jackson join Joseph and Heather Z today as they explore the transformative power of spiritual wellness, the healing properties of fasting, and the importance of embracing whole foods. You will also learn how our choices impact our mental health and well-being.

Dr. Avery highlights the positive aspects of addiction, particularly when it involves a love for the Lord. This deep connection to God and meditation on His love can transform our physiology and overall outlook on life. He emphasizes that we should pursue spiritual wellness with the same dedication that we apply to physical and emotional wellness. He shares his experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, explaining how God guided him to take significant actions that led to the creation of The Body Health Care, a service that helped protect medical practitioners from job loss while addressing the therapeutic needs of patients in critical situations.

Next, Dr. Avery educates us about nicotine, explaining that we have nicotine receptors in our nerves, which play a role in how our bodies communicate. Interestingly, he notes that nicotine can act as an anti-cancer agent, particularly for brain cancer. Cara points out that some substances we consume can be beneficial, while others can be harmful. She suggests that engaging in a weekly fast can help our bodies recover by eliminating harmful substances and reducing the strain on our digestive systems, ultimately making us feel better.

Cara also emphasizes the power of our minds in controlling our bodies, especially when we listen to our bodies and practice self-control over foods that negatively impact our health. Dr. Avery adds that fasting can speed up the healing process. He further explains the role of methylene blue, noting that it can help unblock a critical component in our bodies, thereby restoring our energy. He warns, however, against using methylene blue with antidepressants, as this combination can cause harmful reactions.

Furthermore, Cara advises us to avoid processed foods, encouraging us to embrace whole foods instead, since processed foods can pose serious risks to our mental health. Heather comments on the emotional damage caused by negative words, explaining how they can hinder our ability to live fully when we focus on them rather than on God's promises for our lives. Cara also teaches that our overall well-being is not solely determined by our genetics but by the choices and decisions we make throughout our lives.
