The various conspiracy theories I first heard was among church folks, worrying about various idea about a southern border invasion, to conquer them, and about various groups trying to conspire to oppress them. While all these imaginary troubles are developing, we are going to war over weapons of mass destruction, the jails are being stocked with low level drug offenders, priest abuse scandal/cover up, and the moon landing is being questioned.
