We are honored to welcome the entertaining and inspiring Lisa Scheps as a special featured guest for our first Bonus episode!

Lisa Scheps is Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Ground Floor Theatre (GFT) in Austin, TX.  She is also the creator and host of Off Stage and On The Air, a radio show that focuses on theatre.  Lisa brings her multiple talents to Austin from a long career in New York and Chicago.  She has the unique distinction of playing the camel’s rear end on Broadway.  At GFT, Lisa has directed many shows including Parade, Gibberish Mostly, Fun Home, Next to Normal, and TRANSom.  She has been named Best Director by the Austin Chronicle for the past two years and received the B. Iden Payne award for Best Direction of a Musical for Fun Home.

Lisa is also one of the founders of the Transgender Education Network of Texas, is a founding board member of NCTE, and served on the board of the International Foundation of Gender Education and Equality Texas.  She currently sits on the board of Austin Creative Alliance and Austin ADL. Lisa lives in Southeast Austin with her dog, Sofi, and spends her time doing theatre, her radio show, and supports a myriad of political and social justice causes.
