I think the only reason I'm still going now is that I don't listen. I think you can't listen. You listen to what works and what doesn't work for you and you just ignore people. Understand where it is you want to go. Then picture yourself there. If you can picture yourself there, then you can be there. Bottom Line! ~~ Cyndi Lauper

If you remember Cyndi Lauper from the 80's you will remember her wild style, her wild hair, her wild songs like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun".

Cyndi tells us like she feels, in her songs and her quotes. She wouldn't have been as successful as she is without ignoring the people, the critics. It is important to listen to yourself.  Listen to what works for you OR what doesn't. If you pay attention to both of these things, you will be able to grow faster and easier.

Try things, experiment. Don't worry about failing. More importantly, don't worry about what the people say.

Cyndi goes on to talk about two major truths in Goal Getting:

  1. Understand Where You Want to Go! You have to know your path. You have to know the What - What do I want to achieve. You have to know your Why - Why you want to achieve your goals. And, you have to know How - How to get to where you want to go.
  2. Picture yourself THERE! If you can see yourself where you want to be, then you can get there. Visualization is a strong tool for achieving your goals. Seeing yourself there, in the place you want to be, will help you Get The Goals You Set.
    3. Go out today and tell yourself what you want or want to be. Then, SEE Yourself There.
