Welcome back to the Quarter Portion Podcast, the only Star Wars podcast which finds that answer vague and unconvincing!

As the year draws to a close, Chris & Patrick look back on the major events of 2018 in the galaxy far, far away, and look ahead to the absolute whirlwind that will be 2019! Bad business calls and schisms in the community have led the Disney era to lose momentum for the first time, but as we realized while running through the things that we know are coming next year, we expect the franchise will be right back up to speed in a few months.

Where did things go "wrong"? Will Star Wars be more successful on the small screen than in the theatre? What areas do we want the canon to explore? How can we as fans temper our expectations? And what does the future look like for Star Wars beyond the coming year?

While the Star Wars mothership has pulled out of hyperspace for the time being, 2018 was a huge year for our humble podcast and we hope 2019 will be bigger still. We want to thank everyone who listened to the show, chatted with us at events, or shared us with their friends, from the bottom of our hearts. Have a great holiday, however you celebrate it, and we'll see you in the new year!
