The Queensland Police Service celebrates a significant milestone today, welcoming 155 new police officers into its ranks in the largest graduation ceremony in 33 years.
Superintendent Renee Kurtz from the People Capability Command told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "It is getting healthier but we need more."
"We need more to serve the Queensland community and serve throughout different locations through this state and we've been really proactive in both understanding what qualities it takes to be a frontline police officer in Queensland but also introducing incentives to attract people who really want to wear that blue suit but be competitive with other industries," Superintendent Kurtz said.
