Today, we are going to be talking about some of the areas of conflict that we feel when we encounter the encouragement to grow in confidence. If we look at worldly standards of confidence, we see that confidence is often associated with independence, self-reliance, and an egotistical attitude that brags about the influence its garnered.

I want to remind you that the confidence that we encounter in the Word is incredibly different than the confidence that we experience in the world.

When we choose confidence in Christ, we choose humility. When we choose confidence in Christ, we choose to expose our areas of weakness. When we choose confidence in Christ, we choose to invite the Lord to garner influence for Himself through us.
