In the style of that first day back at school, where the teacher has each student report on what they did during their time off in the Summer, we take turns giving our own reports.
Chris leads off to tell about medical updates, missed doctor appointments, broken vehicles, broken bones, helping around Church House studio, and more. All that, and from somebody who claimed to not be doing anything much.
Transitioning to Nathan, we learn about his time with working his full time job, preaching, and volunteering a week at camp. He also tells about releasing audio dramas on his podcast on Protectors of the book. What about the next installment of Dangerous Christian? It’s slow in coming, but donations to help inspire voice actors might speed things along. Visit Nathan’s Patreon page to contribute.
Finally, Keith rounds out the show with a word on his training at the Hines Central BRC. Getting checked in, goals for the training, who can go for training, and the various areas Keith went to be trained.
The areas can be cuxstomized for the needds of the veteran, and include: Mobility (a fancy word for walking around), computers, living skills, manual skills, and even visual skills (not everybody who is blind, is totally blind).
Besides the serious class work, there were plenty of other activities.
* Golfing. Visit this link for more details on how blind guys golf: Golf outing Idlewild
* VFW Bingo.
* Concert.
* BBQ, picnic, etc. For the 4th of July.
* Fishing.
* Horseback riding, and tandem biking.
Keith also touches on equipment issued. For a blind person, the various items are a prosthetic, not just a convenience. They serve to improve the quality of life, and help equalize life with others in the everyday world of life and work.
There’s also a hint that there could be some extra Retrobot drama in the future.
