A brief solo episode where Keith shares a few thoughts on a bible verse. It was part of a devotional series that he recently read, and had trouble connecting it with the concept of being thankful, and meditating on the source of all that we have to be thankful for.
The verse, by itself, is a little vague on the matter. Of course we ought to be thankful for everything. Backing it up to see how the verse fits in context, we find plenty of good Christian behavior, and expectations that we should be striving to attain.
Believers are fully aware, aware that the day of the lord is coming.
While others say peace, they don’t know that there’s destruction coming. It’s inescapable.
Though others sleep, children of light are awake and sober.
Focus on faith, love, ande hope. Encourage one another.
Respect, and esteem church leaders. Live in peace.
admonish the idle. Encourage the fainthearted. Help the weak. Have patience for all.
Seek to do good, not evil for evil. Rejoice always.
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
