As we meet the hosts today, get caught up on what we have been doing since the last tine we recorded together. Nathan passed his test, and Keith gives an update on how his ski trip went.
Moving to the main topic, we respond to some listener feedback. The question deals with the link between Passover and Easter. Is there a link, or is it just a matter of having the two holidays fall at the same tine by coincidence?
Starting with a review of Exodus 12 for an account of the events and commands of the original Passover, we learn of the deliverance of the Hebrew people from slavery in Egypt. Most notably, the lam that was slain to mark their door posts and protect them from the angel of death relates to the payment that Jesus offered on the cross to deliver us from the bondage of sin, into a spiritual kingdom.
The meal itself is central in the way that Jews observe the Passover then, in the time of Jesus, and even now. Keith draws on information from the Internet to briefly relate what the Seder is all about. The 15 steps in the meal hold significance, and some even carry meaning that Christians practice in what is commonly known as either the Lord’s supper, or the Last supper.
You may be surprised at some of the similarities.

We take a look at the history of how the scriptures were preserved from the other end of time. Beginning with oral traditions to the time they were first written down.
