This book has two dedications. First, to my dad, in loving memory, as he was the one who instilled in me the importance of hard work and also taught me valuable lessons in fatherhood. We've been through thick and thin together, sharing both the lighter moments of laughter and the more challenging periods of hardship and struggle. My love for you has remained steadfast and unwavering. Although a significant amount of time has passed, I still think of you daily and remain incredibly thankful for the time we shared.

This book is also dedicated to my mum, who, I’m happy to say, is still with us and thriving as I write this. I am deeply grateful for the countless hours you spent with me at the kitchen table, where our conversations explored the many facets of life—its challenges, triumphs, and all the moments in between. Those discussions have left an indelible mark on me.

You, along with Dad and my four siblings, helped shape me into the person I am today, and I cannot thank you enough for your love. As a small tribute, I named a character, Alexandra Conner—a different personality from your own, yet one who shares a part of your name, a reflection of my honor and appreciation for you.
