Yinzhou is a social entrepreneur at the intersections of Singapore’s demographic challenge.
Growing up in Geylang, the red-light district in Singapore, he witnessed firsthand through personal friendships the challenges faced by the marginalized. Those experiences ignited a passion for creating positive change in Singapore through social initiatives and sustainable development.
Over the past 10 years, he has founded and co-founded various initiatives to promote equity amongst marginalized communities. Such as backalleybarbers, Majulah Belanja, Singapore-Nepal Relief Community, #plugthegaps haze campaign, Between Two Homes, Cassia Resettlement Team and Covid Migrant Support Coalition.
His work requires effective collaboration and partnerships with different stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, private sector organizations to drive social impact. To do so effectively, Yinzhou graduated from SMU with a Masters in Tri-sector Collaboration in 2019.
Today, he balances multiple roles as the Director of Citizen Adventures, Assistant Manager at St Luke’s ElderCare, a husband and new father.
