Our best comforters are those who understand our pain, those who can truly say, "I've been where you are?" Jesus is the sinners friend; no, more than that, the Bible says that He is our brother, our Shepherd, our Saviour and our King. But when we face discouragement, need, pain, persecution and even death, can He comfort us as One who can tenderly say, "I've been where you are?"
